Chris Smith is Director of Federal Public Policy at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores. In that capacity, he works on legislative and regulatory issues impacting chain pharmacies. Chris’ areas of focus include drug supply chain security, Medicaid drug reimbursement, the role of chain pharmacies under the Affordable Care Act and within the ACA exchanges, drug disposal and pharmaceutical hazardous waste. Previously, Chris worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Widener Law School and as a Director of Public Policy at the National Community Pharmacists Association. Chris has a LL.M. degree in Law and Government from the American University Washington College of Law, a J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School and a B.A. from the University of Richmond.
